What You'll Learn

Our program equips you with a comprehensive understanding of the backstage environment and essential skills to support designers during FDLA Shows. From troubleshooting common issues to mastering dressing, steaming, fittings, and clothing alterations, you'll be fully prepared to shine backstage.

In This Short Technical Course, You Will Learn: 

• Solving backstage issues with basic sewing.
• Assisting the designer with ironing garments
• Dressing models
• Managing the designer models' lineup
• Manage Model Card - list of every single item the model will wear that goes every look. Etc...

BACKSTAGE DESIGNERS' ASSISTANT PROGRAM | Class Duration: 6 Weeks

The Backstage designers’ Assistant Program is a hybrid program incorporated of both online for flexibility and in-person learning.

Starting August 1st through August 29th

Thursdays from 7-9pm Online

in Person Thursday September 5th

from 2-8pm

Once Completed, students will immediately be placed to volunteer at the NYFW Shows the week of September 8-12.
